Love to Learn: With programs ranging from the undergraduate level all the way up to the PhD, the Tufts campus needs a lot of buildings to house its many gifted minds during their learning hours. Spread over a few streets, you can usually find students coming and going at nearly all hours of the day.

Houston, we have first-years: Houston Hall is one of our residence halls which houses an all first-year option (Tilton Hall is the other). The building was selected for its size and allows for close interaction and social development amongst the residents. It is also large enough to house a representative cross-section of the class. Like Tilton, Houston's programs and resources are tailored to meet the particular needs of first-year students. Best of all, a Tufts scholar lives in Houston. This Scholar-in-Residence coordinates weekly discussions that feature other Tufts scholars and mentors students about their course selection, acclamation to college life and overall well-being at Tufts University.

Welcome!: Medford is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, in the United States, on the Mystic River, five miles northwest of downtown Boston. In the 2010 U.S. Census, Medford's population was 56,173. It is the home of Tufts University. Medford was settled in 1630 as part of Charlestown, when Thomas Dudley referred to it as "Mistick" (a name which persisted for many decades), which his party renamed "Meadford" and was later changed to its current form.
