The City Beautiful: Even though Orlando is known as the Theme Park Capital of the World, the downtown area is a nice escape from the tourist areas about five miles away on Interstate-4. Whether you're in the mood for a night on the town, a basketball, or a good concert, there's plenty to do in this city. It might not be as flashy as New York, but the weather is better!

The Heart of the City: There is a wide range of housing in downtown area. Whether you're looking for an expensive apartment in the city, or a nice house in one of the many quaint and history filled neighborhoods, there's something for you.

Uptown: Located just 10 miles east of Downtown Orlando, Altamonte Springs is a bustling area, and popular amongst locals with families. The heart of this area is the Altamonte Mall, though a couple miles down the road leads to some nice housing developments, and great schools.

The Suburbs: Though you occasionally find some expensive homes, most of this area is filled with middle class workers and their families. There are some low income apartments in the area, but they are usually kept up nicely.

By the Lakeshore: This area, though small in population, is popular simply for one place: the Mall of Millenia. Located between Downtown Orlando and International Drive, this shopping area is the home of some of the top designers, as well as some exceptional dining.

A Small Escape: If you want a home by one of the many lakes in the area, you better have a good income. Otherwise, most of the homes are reasonably priced. For cheaper apartments, head in the direction of the federal prison. They get cheaper the closer you get.

Shopaholics unite!: The Florida Mall is Central Florida’s largest shopping center, and is home to hundreds of retail shops. It's easy to get lost for an entire day here.

Home of the Knights: UCF is the largest university in the United States, based on undergraduate enrollment. The College of Medicine is one of the most selective programs in the country, and has a strong relationship with local hospitals to give their students hands on experience.
