Florida Hospital Orlando
I think we have an emergency: Named after Alan Ginsburg, the Ginsburg Tower is primarily the site of the hospital's ER. However, it is also home to the food court, a few clinics, and some diagnostic imaging and surgical units. Be on the lookout, however, for frustrated attendants who want to move by you to rush a patient into surgery or for X-Rays.

The magic of Disney: The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is a 155-specialty-bed, full-service facility served by the largest panel of pediatric specialists in Orlando and a highly trained pediatric team that includes nurses, case managers, social workers, and child life specialists. While being a child in the hospital isn't easy, we hope that you'll feel the magic of Walt Disney while you're here.

Outpatient: All of the diagnostic imaging centres and clinics are reserved for outpatients, who will be coming in for an appointment, probably managing a chronic disease or being sent over from emergency. There's a lot of long waiting, delayed doctors, and upset people.

At your service: The people who work behind the scenes at the hospital also have incredibly important jobs, including those students who are learning to become full members of the medical community. Along with the patient services department, these units are some of the most vital in the whole operation. The Eden Spa is the highlight of these amenities and is practically a right of passage for all long-term care patients.

East Orlando/Downtown
The City Beautiful: Even though Orlando is known as the Theme Park Capital of the World, the downtown area is a nice escape from the tourist areas about five miles away on Interstate-4. Whether you're in the mood for a night on the town, a basketball, or a good concert, there's plenty to do in this city. It might not be as flashy as New York, but the weather is better!

Uptown: Located just 10 miles east of Downtown Orlando, Altamonte Springs is a bustling area, and popular amongst locals with families. The heart of this area is the Altamonte Mall, though a couple miles down the road leads to some nice housing developments, and great schools.

By the Lakeshore: This area, though small in population, is popular simply for one place: the Mall of Millenia. Located between Downtown Orlando and International Drive, this shopping area is the home of some of the top designers, as well as some exceptional dining.

For art lovers: Once considered a resort, Winter Park is now a popular neighborhood in the Orlando area. It includes plenty of art museums, and is home to various events, festivals and celebrations throughout the year.

College Town: With UCF taking up so much of this area, this is definitely catered to the young adults who attend the college. There's so much to do, including visiting UCF's large campus. University of Central Florida is located here.

I-Drive: The center of all things vacation. This area is full of cheap souvenir shops, restaurants, and hotels. Lots of hotels. But, just on the other side of the interstate, you can find a nice residential area.

A friendly town: Nestled on beautiful Lake Apopka, 20 minutes west of Orlando, this former citrus town is home to almost 40,000 residents. There's a small town feel, though everything is conveniently located nearby the parks and downtown Orlando.
