Avigail really didnt want to talk to the blonde but she was too nice, and honestly frightened, to say anything. She had always been the kind of person who wouldn't want to say anything to upset or anger someone else so she often times sat in silent misery. She knew that this girl just wanted to be friendly and welcoming and part of her was glad Hazel wanted to do that, but part of her was annoyed and wanted to be left alone. But she had been left alone so much lately, that she needed a friend. Sure in rehab there were people around her all the time but they werent there to be a friend, they were there to make sure that she didnt screw up and go off the deep end or somegthing. Here, she knew that no one knew her past (aside from Theo and Levi but neither of them would betray her that way) so she didnt have to worry about them being fake and pretending to be genuine. So maybe it wasnt a bad idea to let Hazel talk to her.
Avigail kept her eyes down and away from Hazel as she talked about things outside of the compound. Avigail honestly did prefer it in here than she did out there. Out there her past was up in the air, it surrounded her. Here, she could forget it better and try to move on since it wasnt like a cloud looming over her head. It did not need to be common knowledge and she was thankful for that. Moving on seemed far easier here. A whole new start. A start with her brother and Levi. It was weird to have come here with someone. To have someone who knew what it was like to have been in a headspace like she was. He knew what it was like to be in rehab, to feel like you were out of your own body and becoming a whole new person with a clean slate. Avigail had no clue how to feel about him. She really believed that she did not deserve happiness, she didnt deserve to move on from the horrors she had caused. But she did deserve that clean slate she had been given. When Hazel mentioned having family here, Avigail nodded. It was not gonna take long for people to realize she was indeed Theo Price's sister. No one needed to know why she had not been with him from the start. All they were to know was that they were siblings and nothing about her past mattered in that aspect. She may as well accept and ackowledge their bond. "Yeah. Theo Price is my brother. Any rumours about that are too, straight from the horse's mouth. If that's even the correct saying." Avigail shrugged, she didnt have a real reason for saying that and she felt dumb for not even knowing if that saying worked in that sentence she had said out loud. It was like she was relearning to speak and be human again. "Hos before bros. That is still a saying?" People in rehab didnt talk like that so often times Avigail found herself hearing weird phrases like that and wondering if people actully still said them. She felt like a robot learning how humans spoke, it was all very strange. "He just came with me. I don't have a "thing" with him. I don't think so...?" What was Levi to her, honestly? Just a guy who followed her to a compound after meeting in rehab? Was he meant to be more than that? Avigail was unsure. --- first save!
