Do gifs have to be split? Cause I had this http://i.imgur.com/DnSEH.gif for my sig which is 500x200 like the board accepts.

Heidi, yes that banner would need to be split. It would be up to you whether it was going to be a horizontal or vertical split. I've done that before, and the only problem I would run into was when they would load at different times. That would suck.

If I wanted to use this banner, would I need to split it or is it alright as it is. In case you need to know, it's 400x140.



*Basically what size would a banner have to be for it to need to be split, just so I know for future as well.

My rule of thumb is:

vertical splits: longer than 300 px, split it.
horizontal splits: longer than 100 px, split it.

If anyone needs anything split, post it here and I'll do it. I don't mind.

A couple of people have mentioned that my banner is sitting side by side instead of on top of each other, it looks ok to me on the main board, but occasionally when I'm writing a post on my main account it does appear side by side. I was just wondering if someone could help me align it properly.
