It's such a worst-case-scenario I can't even describe it. I've been watching the news with my mother for the last couple hours now. Not gonna get into a political rant here but just... it's so bad. There's basically nothing standing in the way of the GOP having a field day with gutting the Constitution if Trump gets to choose her replacement.

My house is a mess, y'all.

Today has been the worst day. I got pulled out of my lesson by the HR lady at my school because she wanted me to tell her that my mum wasn't drunk, but when I got to her she was obviously wasted, but she lied and declared that she wasn't and refused to let me take her car keys. Then the paramedics came, and the police came and overheard us trying to get her car keys, the paramedics asked the police to breathalyse her, so they had to ask another police officer to come, at which point there were three paramedics and three police officers there. Mum had to go to the hospital and I was told to isolate AGAIN for potential COVID exposure from her. She failed her breath test with basically 1 alcohol level (it's supposed to be no more than 0.35) but is still denying that she was drinking. And then bizarrely on the way home from the hospital she told me she was diagnosed with terminal cancer from a blood test. And the sad thing is I don't even believe her.

Had my first day at my new job today! It didn't quite go according to plan because the guy who needed to get me set up in the system had called out but he'll be in tomorrow. But everyone I've met so far seems pretty cool! And loooots of laughter in the in-office chats.

I just wanna curl up in bed and do more online shopping.

^I know this feeling. XD

I think I'm gonna try and get all of my owed posts done this weekend because I need something happy and fun to look forward to that will make up for this crummy week so far!
